The York 37 Post (Brandsby) Restoration Project

Yorkshire's only fully restored ROC Monitoring Post

Who Are We?

We are the 'York 37 Post (Brandsby) Restoration Project'. We are a non-profit group of enthusiasts who are dedicated to restoring the former Royal Observer Corps Monitoring Post at Brandsby to exactly how it would have looked at stand-down on September 30th 1991.

The team is headed by David Jenkinson who acquired the post in January 2009.

Other members include David's wife Dawn, and Paul Brown.

Now restoration of the underground post is complete we are open for visits by small groups with any donations being split between upkeep of the post and the Royal Observer Corps Association. (the lion's share going to the latter)

Our next phase at Brandsby is the aquisition of an Orlit 'B' aircraft observation post. Once found and aquired our Orlit will be reconstructed at Brandsby and fully restored to show visitors the role of the Royal Observer Corps prior to going underground in its nuclear reporting role.
